How about the JBT first politely ask to see the pill bottle she had with her...she had the bottle right there with her instead of using excessive force...?

...but she didn't even have a chance...

At what point do the police have carte' blanche to manhandle a person who voluntarily was there because of a possible (small) issue that could have been easily resolved with common decency and normal human interaction... ?

Sure, politely ask and ho make the proper phone calls, while she overdoses and foams at the mouth.

The reality is that the police have to treat every person as a potential addict, because once somebody has OD’d, they may only have a few seconds to live.
