I had a girlfriend who could barely ride across the Mackinaw bridge. Its never bothered me. I like the center lanes because you drive on the metal grate and its like its not even there and you can see all the way to the water.

I agree w/ the choice of Seven-Mile Bridge as #1. I don’t like it one bit. My palms sweat.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Capilano Bridge in B.C. made the list. I walked across that bridge the summer before 5th grade. VERY SCARY... and I am not afraid of heights.

They put the Mackinac bridge on there... I have been over it several times....it’s not nearly as bad as the 1000 Islands Bridge. That gem is white knuckles all the way on a good day. Two 12 foot lanes a steep approach and a steel deck, on a snowy day in January with a 30MPH cross wind it will put the fear of god into any atheist.

The old span over the Cooper River on the far right is a death trap. I think the lanes are 10 feet wide.

I've been on the Deception Pass #8 bridge. Seriously cool to cross and to look at.

The Mackinac Bridge seriously scared the crap out of me on a family trip as a boy. I never knew what vertigo was until my dad drove over that bridge.

This one is a real nail biter.
Route 301 bridge over the Potomac. You actually pay money to scare yourself to death. The truck drivers say they hit each others mirrors from time to time. The lanes are narrow MAYBE 10 feet wide.

The Easton Pa. "free bridge" over the Delaware. As per
Wikipedia : Repairs carried out by Bethlehem Steel over the next two years [ after damage by Hurricane Dianne in 1955 ] made the bridge usable but the flood damage left a readily apparent sag in the center span that remains today.
