....the National Basketball Players Association has made it clear they want both Sterlings removed by the start of the 2014-15 season, and one of the players unions executives is threatening a boycott, led by four-time MVP LeBron James, if that deadline isnt met.
If its not handled by
the start of next season, I dont see how were playing basketball, NBPA vice president Roger Mason Jr. said in an interview with Showtimes Jim Rome. We have player reps, weve got executive committee members

God speed Mr. Sterling!
basketball sucks. Who cares?
Since Larry Bird, the NBA has been non existent.
I for one would not notice....if the NBA folded up and disappeared....
Same thing if 50 % of the federal government disappeared. ...
That's the winning play, IMO. She holds a strong trump card that can't be ignored, even in NBA-required mediation. She may not retain ownership but can make the deal so expensive that new owners won't be above water for years.
If League would go bankrupt, I'd throw a party.
Neither would the NFL, NHL, or MLB.
I think the owners will vote to strip Sterling of his ownership. Sterling will take it to court. The legal process will be just starting up at the beginning of next season. The owners will tell the players that they’re trying to boot Sterling but they’re at the mercy of the courts. The players will accept that and go ahead and play. Problem solved.
Oh, no, say it ain't so, Joe.
How can I get by without watching 10, 7 foot tall black guys walk up and down the court and then slamming the into the basket, like I throw a ball of paper into a waste basket.
Please don't boycott basketball, Mr. James, we luvs it.
LYNCH MOB!!!!
I recall the finals used to be tapped delayed and shown at 11:30 at night. this wasn't for ratings mind you. it was because no one was watching.
Boycott? Sure, let'em go ahead. I won't miss one bit of it. Baseball did this and it almost killed the game.
If Lebron is serious about this then I would ask him the following...along with the NBA.
1) Are you willing to sever ties with, and publically condemn, all hip hop artists who use derogatory language to women, police, other minorities?
2) Would you be willing to be subjected to a lie detector test to affirm you have never, ever, ever used racist language of any form?
Unless you're willing to do this, just shut up, and be thankful you're 6'8" and can shoot a ball through a hoop. Because without that, I'm not sure what you would be doing in life.
Overnights: ESPN NFL Draft: 6.8 ESPN2 Blazers-Spurs 2.7 ESPN2 Heat-Nets: 2.6 NFL Net NFL Draft:
NFL is months away from playing has a draft and kills your playoff ratinsg with a draft.
I can’t wait. Go ahead and stop the racist sport for the whole season. I wonder how many of the players can make it two months without a paycheck and not paying their child support?
If this happens, we will see a spike in abortions, baby mommas and crime..
I last watched NBA basketball in the mid 1970s when there weren’t nearly as many thugs on the court. It seemed to me that many even had a touch of humility and team spirit. Fancy that.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
The cutting edge of social justice is not being honed by ego maniacal, spoiled brat ultra rich athletes who make tens of millions of dollars a year.
Martin Luther King fought for the basic right of people to be able to hold a decent job to feed their family and these moron athletes make more money than the CEO of Ford to toss a ball around in a game for children.
There is no discrimination here and for these 0.01% ers to try to play the race card and cast themselves as victims is beyond the pale.
If a person whose stated (and achieved) goal is to never spend a day on a college campus is your intellectual leader, you’re doing something wrong and bound for disappointment.
