Alec Baldwin has been arrested.
The volatile actor was handcuffed by police officers in New York on Tuesday and taken away in a cop car, according to In Touch with one witness telling the publication Baldwin 'went ballistic on the cops, screaming at them' during the incident which led to his arrest.
TMZ reports he was stopped by police for cycling his bike the wrong way down Fifth Avenue and one of the reasons he was arrested was because he did not have any identification on him.
By the time he was cuffed he was 'calm and quiet', another onlooker told In Touch.
A source with the New York Police Department told the publication: 'The incident just happened, we are waiting for details at this time.'
He was alone at the time of the incident and is reported to have been cycling for exercise.
In the pictures, obtained by In Touch, he can be seen wearing shorts, a jacket and a visor as he is led into the car by a female police officer.
Another officer stands nearby.
He appears calm and collected in the pictures as he is being led away while his bike can be seen propped up against the car.
Alec has faced controversy in the past few years for repeatedly being accused of using homophobic slurs.

It doesn’t matter if they know who he is. He didn’t have any ID which I guess is the law when operating even a bicycle.
But not to Vote of course! That would be ‘racist’.

Fifth Avenue has been one-way for decades. All lanes. Baldwin lives in NYC and grew up in its suburbs. He knows the route. One block over on either side is one-way in the other direction. He could easily have biked up Madison Ave or Avenue of the Americas. Rules don’t apply to him. After all, he’s Alec Baldwin!
Two unrelated thoughts. If there were two of more cops at least one knew he was Alec Baldwin.
He is and has been an asshole. If he was that way with me, I’d find a reason to take him in.
I was referring to all those wishing he would have been tazed or worse. Work on your reading comprehension and try to get some medication for that jerking knee problem.
My Knee has steadied out quite a bit, it used to really shake!
