How about levying the tax only on electric and hybrid vehicles? After all if they are not buying gas they are not paying to maintain the roads they are using. I’m sure the greenies would be delighted to do their part.

The communists Democrats don't give a crap about those that have to drive daily to work and trying to live on an income that cannot keep up with inflation. California is the heaviest communists controlled State in the Nation second to NY.

How about an exhale tax? Voluntary of course. Liberals can estimate how many exhales per month or year, get some genius scientist to estimate the amount of CO2 exhaled and then have another genius bureacrat estimate how much tax they should send in.

LOL! It bit them in the butt again, like the city that wanted voluntary reduction in water use in a drought, then demanded a raise in water rates to make up for the loss of water use.

Same happened with conservation on electricity. Then they turn around and add a surcharge to make up for the loss.
