How Often Do You Really Need to Shower?
Yahoo ^ | 5/6/2014 | Yahoo

If you don't shower much - but generally keep that information to yourself because of the negative stigma - you're not alone. Following hot on the heels of the no-shampooing hair care revolution, some folks are taking the logical next step: If no or reduced shampooing results in healthier, shinier hair, what about skipping soaping up the body? Unlike the modified hair-washing schedule, which tends to elicit commentary about shampoos and parabens, conditioners and hair-drying time, skipping showers altogether seems to bring up plenty of other opinions on the subject. Many people who do shower every day think that not doing so is inherently wrong and unhealthy. It's assumed that people who don't shower on the regular are stinky and/or greasy and maybe even visibly dirty - and it certainly can't be good for you.

Morning shower people like me have a tradeoff— I don’t want to sleep with wet hair and I can’t do the blowdryer because it dries out my scalp and hair and the noise wakes up my husband, who goes to be before I do. So, I shower in the morning, after exercise. I can do a quick touch-up shower later, if my nighttime plans might require it.

Probably the optimal thing would be a shower right after dinner, but it doesn’t work with the household workflow very well.

“the no-shampooing hair care revolution”

There are enough greasy, smelly leftists around as it is without promoting this idea. Of course, I’m not surprised that Dims are unconcerned about personal hygiene; many of them look like they crawled out of a dumpster.

I know what you mean.

We were working in Alice, Texas, close to 110 that day.

On the way back to Corpus we had to keep the windows rolled down, couldn’t stand the smell of ourselves.

“Once they realized that girls might be fun to hang around with, they showered daily without a peep out of me.”

Ha ha ha. Right around that time they also might have been looking for as much alone nekid time as possible and the shower gave it to them.

My older brother was the king of the half hour shower. lol

I shower at the gym after work. Saves electric and water.
Plus I don’t stink up my clothes, and the have that great ginger scented body wash.

I used to have to shave daily, but radiation pretty much killed off my hair and beard.

Skip washing your hair, skip washing your body...what is next? Wiping with just one square?

“As far as being actually physically dirty, most of us who don’t work outside or aren’t otherwise involved in daily work where we might get covered in dust, dirt or grease probably don’t get any real dirt on anything other than our faces and hands most weeks.”

Written like a pathetic indoor wimp who never works.

Yeah. I do German WW2 reenactments. Try wearing a wool uniform for a couple days in 90 plus temps. People start to smell like BO, Wood fire smoke and that smell after a hard night of drinking beer.
Always try to take a “Whores Bath” even in the coldest of Temps. Face, Armpits and naughty bits and a change of underwear and socks. A real adventure in below freezing temps.

I shower only when there’s a full moon.
I feel nervous when there’s a blue moon because it makes me go over my annual water usage quota... so I shower slower.

My son started living in the shower. I would let him go for about 20 min and then I would click off the burner and bye-bye hot water.
