The PSA test is a joke. PSA is present in the normal, benign, and cancerous prostate, so PSA is not prostate cancer-specific; therefore, it doesn't detect prostate cancer. It's an industry just like Big Cancer- in business to make money. Pre-screen millions of men for PSA while putting millions more on meds so you have: more customers.

The preventive medicine task force has recommended against routine PSA testing for a number of years now.

The number itself is less important that the change and speed of change of the number (although a high number may indicate that additional testing is needed.)
What kind of ‘meds’ do you think they give folks for prostate cancer? (Hint, the treatments are either radiation or surgery).
