Cool, zoomable map.

Yeah, Tiger fans would be an enormous blob if you included the Canadian fans.
Tigers on top of the White Sox right now. 7-4 bottom of the 8th.
The REAL fans are true, to The Orange and Blue. LET’S GO METS ! ! ! ;)
I wonder if a similar map has been created for NFL teams? As an aside to dfwgator, how 'bout that hat trick yesterday with the big time pro teams of the Metroplex. Mavs, Stars and Rangers all won on the same day, a rather rare thing I surmise.
As expected, much of FL is infested with Yankees and Red Sox fans.
Me too. There are two Cubs’ fans in 32571 zip code.
Wrigley Field Home of the 1908 World Champion Chicago “ Winning once a century is enough for us” Cubs
I’m really excited about the Stars....they are beginning to look like the great teams from the late 90s. The crowd at the AAC was pumped. Hockey is back in Big D.
I grew up right on the border between the Cubs and the Cards.
Meh. TV is so passé. (Although when DH is again among the employed, at long last, I *am* getting MLB for him to celebrate). 2 diehard Stroz fans, right here.
;-) Love our (L)Astros!
Houston Astros have *NO* fans...”
They also don’t have much of a team.
That being said, I was born on the South Side, so my loyalty was pre-determined.
Oakland As fans?
WHAT Oakland As fans?
How BOUT them Braves.
If you poke around the West, you still find fans out there.
When WTBS(now TBS) showed the Braves non stop in the 80, 90s and 00, they created a GREAT fanbase.
Phillies bump
Ugh!
If it’s as inaccurate for the rest of the country as it is for Iowa, it’s just made-up.
Far more Cardinals (and Royals) fans in Iowa than indicated here.
But, if accurate, it proves MLB idiocy as the Twins, Brewers, Cubs, White Sox, Cardinals and Cubs all claim Iowa as home territory, most with no fan base of support.
It’s based on Facebook team followers and zip code.
I am amazed the Braves share isn’t bigger, but then again, TBS hasn’t really shown the games in 10 years. If a survey like this was taken in the 80s I think 1/4 of the country would have said Braves. At least everything from Virginia (former home of the AAA Richmond Braves) south to Florida and west to Texas.
I’m half surprised the Braves don’t show up near Portland or Utah, given the Dale Murphy influence.
There are some SF Giants fans in Terre Haute, Indiana!
