I doubt this will stand, for several reasons.
1) Unless being a lesbian interfered with her job performance, most people would consider this firing unfair. Lots of homosexuals work hard, never make a mess or raise a fuss, so deserve what they have earned.
2) The radical left, and the homosexual mob, do not really care about individuals. But they intensely care about public opinion. So had he just fired her, nobody would likely care. But firing her, and then saying it was because of her being a lesbian is going to set off a whiny and angry firestorm.
3) That there seems to be some scandal involved, as the real reason she was fired, is the icing on the cake.
Agreed. Her real crime was finding that the mayor hired a crony.
I see no evidence that her orientation had anything to do with her job performance, or ever caused any problem.
