The Republican majority General Assembly has had the opportunity for FOUR YEARS to eliminate the hated Hall tax on unearned income, yet they just can’t seem to bring themselves to get their hands out of the people’s pockets.

I wonder!!! It shows taxes in California are much lower than in New Mexico. HUH! I thought California was high in taxes.

I wish they’d stop this kind of article. It encourages a bunch of lefties to move to the good states and they bring their voting habit, that ruined the states they were from, and create the same mess in their new homes.

Witness all of the Stalinist school teachers from the NE that moved to Floriduh and screwed up the demographics there. Also, the influx of lefty Kalifornians into Colorado back in the late 80’s and early 90’s

Ideologically diseased people! Stay where you are and deal with the mess you made there!

They should take into account the higher salaries you can make in high-tax states. Why do you think all those guys work in NYC? We may have high taxes, but we also have lots and lots of jobs that pay $150-500K.

And the higher cost of living to match. When I moved from Seattle to rural Kentucky, I gave up a high standard of living for a high quality of life. But that is not entirely accurate. I didn’t really shift my standard of living all that much.

But I lived near the city for 45 years. I no longer have a need for the things it offers. I like that I could, of I so chose, run around my cleared 8 acres on the part of my property on which my house rests buck naked and nobody would know.

Don’t know how anyone could live in nyc or the whole communist state for that matter. I need space.

Rather have space than a big house or lots of money.

Can’t take money with you. Only love and knowledge.

Don’t move to Minnesota.

IIRC, we’re the only a-hole state that even taxes military retirees.

Plus you could be shoveling your driveway again today!

Yeah, my wife and I enjoy “scaring” the wildlife from time to time.

I know, TMI.
