I used to talk politics as part of my job, and liberals are remarkably open about their beliefs in a business situation. Quite a few have told me that blacks will never be ready to compete without affirmative action because (in their racist view) those people just don't have the intellectual capacity to succeed on their own. When I contrast that with the conservatives I've worked with, few of whom think skin color matters at all, I'm disappointed in how poorly the GOP has marketed its values - and disgusted at how well the Democrats have marketed a culture of dependency.
What makes you think the GOP-e doesn't share the liberal viewpoint on blacks?
Conservatives might look beyond color and at character, but I doubt the party leadership does.
