Didn’t seem to be any difference when the guy was “playing” versus when he “wasn’t.”
He may have been overdubbing a second solo over an existing solo track, so when he dropped out you still heard the original playing. That’s a fairly common recording technique called “doubling”. But for some reason the video won’t play for me now so I can’t say for sure.
