It is never, ever a good idea to trust the weather here in March and early April to put vulnerable plants in the ground, unless you’re in a city where it is not as cold. It will likely not freeze here, but it will get close-it has been freezing earlier in the Fall and later in the Spring out here for the last 8-9 years...

Because I don’t trust the weather I planted everything in pots or felt bags. Last night I carried them all into the garage. We were supposed to get severe thunderstorms with large hail. Well that didn’t materialize but I think the plants will stay in the garage until Tuesday or Wednesday just to be on the safe side.
