Because I don’t trust the weather I planted everything in pots or felt bags. Last night I carried them all into the garage. We were supposed to get severe thunderstorms with large hail. Well that didn’t materialize but I think the plants will stay in the garage until Tuesday or Wednesday just to be on the safe side.

Cool. No pun intended and it must be global warming.

A 32 Kel-Tech actually. Tell you what, at my age the mushrooms are the only things that move slow enough for me to catch. I carry cause of the critters in the bottoms, i.e. ran across a rabid possum once-he was VERY aggressive, and a few rattlers, but have never had to shoot yet.

I’m in NW Houston. If I lose my tomato plants that are already 2’ tall and filled with blooms, along with everything else that’s come up, I won’t be putting in another garden. I’ve had old timers tell me to never plant before Good Friday. I guess they’re right. But, in Texas if you don’t get started pretty early everything burns up the first of July.
