Mazeil succeeded in part on athletic ability and partly on smarts. I would have trouble drafting him high as an owner or GM because there’s no real certainty he’s going to be an immediate franchise player. That said, I suspect there’s a much better than 50% chance he will be a real success somewhere in the league as long as he works at it and is in the right situation.

I think he will do very well - Russell Wilson was drafted with the 12th pick in the third round (75th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. He’s not bad.

I figured Johnny was smart. He finished high school a semester early so he could go to spring practice. He’s almost done with his degree, and he says he will get it.

Fitzpatrick went to Harvard, a school that -- for all of its prestige -- doesn't teach a lick of common sense. As a leftist indoctrination center, it does a stellar job of churning out educated fools.
As I've stated several times here on Free Republic, Harvard can be rehabilitated once it becomes a branch campus of Hillsdale College or Liberty University.

I guess it means he MIGHT be smart enough to change his playing style to one that would work in the NFL without getting him killed. He’s still way to small be to a scrambler getting hit a lot.
Yes, that 22 is the number reported by the leftist media. I'm sure that Mr. Tebow actually scored much higher. But, if not, it clearly indicates that Wonderlic methodology is flawed. I will add that Vince Young scored a 6 the first time and had to retake it. The second time around, he got a 14, which was probably generous.
22 is not actually a bad score, slightly above average (20), though slightly below QB average (24). Wouldn’t seem to be flawed in Tebow’s case, it seems pretty accurate, he was close but not quite.
As for football ... who the heck knows. Even the people that administer it say it doesn’t mean much. Dan Marino scored abysmally low and, well . . . didn’t seem to matter.
