6 habaneros? You kiddin’ me? You would have to be up close because the air itself diffuses the effects. I could understand if they were in the class rooms.

i once cooked 1/4 of a habanero, and choked my family out of our house... and we eat hot, spicy food... even our children do... a couple of weeks ago i cooked a serrano pepper (my favorite) and every time someone walked into the house, they started coughing... it was kind of funny :)

Peppers make me cough too. I assume these were outside. My husband will cut them outside. Peppers don’t burn his hands either, so he doesn’t use gloves, well that is until he forgot he cut peppers and later went to the bathroom.

Yep, he says that hurt! LOL

Reminds me of the time we were making hot oil for Chinese food (by heating pepper flakes in oil) and our Siamese cat started coughing.

I once ate a whole Serrano. I was literally shaking and tears were flowing.

It’s just a good thing they didn’t grow the Habanero’s in the shape of a gun.
