If this isn’t faked, it’s evidence.........

That Mozilla is scared.

KEEP THE PRESSURE ON!

About the ads in the new tab page... Our reasoning for this is to make us more independent moneywise and influence wise from Google Inc. - the problem is, even with that we still are unable to break free of Google in so many ways sadly!

Haven't seen any there yet (using v. 28.0) but have Adblock Plus running.

For any FR members running Pale Moon, do FF add-on's work with Pale Moon? If it wasn't for the add-ons that allow me to customize, I would be using another browser.

Mitchell Baker, the official who imposed her religious bigotry on CEO Brendan Eich by firing him because his religious beliefs didn’t match hers.

Since there is no direct name with this,

Though one can easily surmise that English is not the writer's first language. Little things but definitely there.

For me, there is no replacement for Firefox. If all you want to do is view a few pages, than any browser will do, but I have used Firefox extensively for years as a “power user” (and have about 140 tabs open across 8 thin rows), as it far surpasses all others due to the extns (TabMixPlus , Classic Compact, Colorful Tabs , Session Manager , Googlebarlite , BBCodeXtra (good for FR),, Count Word Professional, Noia 4 eXtreme theme etc.), thank God, and appreciate its community enabled customization, without pushing liberal ideology.

Chrome is on top now due being pushed so much, while most just want "basic transportation," and do not appreciate all that FF can do versus the rest of the browsers.

However, the forced ouster of Mozilla co-founder and CEO Brendan Eich this last week a cowardly yielding to pro-sodomite intimidation by those who are utterly intolerant of any expression that opposes their demand for special rights for their immoral wrongs.

Remember, along with the rest of your prayers, to pray every day that God would destroy the wicked that oppress the good in America and around the world.

The big wicked for lo these past few centuries, of course, has been globalism/new world order/elite international finance (whatever one wants to call it).

The Psalms are wonderful in this regard.

Psalm 5:

1 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.
2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
8 Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.
11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Psalm 58:

1 Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
4 Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;
5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.
6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord.
7 Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.
8 As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.
10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

Psalm 52

1 Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.
2 The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

This Mozilla employee gives no indication that he understands what was so offensive about Eich's ouster.

There has been a massive amount of pressure inside and outside of Mozilla which brought him to resign from his post.

Yes, and Mozilla management made that resignation happen. That's why it is important to push back specifically against Mozilla, not against Google or what the author calls "the ads industry." They are irrelevant to this controversy.

Most Freepers seem to have settled on Pale Moon as their Firefox alternative. It seemed to work perfectly well when I tried it, but I uninstalled it primarily because apart from its underlying open-source Firefox code, the program seems to be almost entirely the product of one person, Markus Straver, a Swedish programmer and artist. I think the task of keeping an Internet browser up to date and secure requires more than one person's efforts, no matter how talented he is. (And who is this guy, anyway?) For the time being I have settled on Comodo's IceDragon, another browser based on Firefox code, but at least it has a viable, profit-making company standing behind it. The main rap against IceDragon seems to be that it is not kept up to date. IceDragon is now at 26.0.0.2 while the current Firefox is 28. I do not know how significant the difference is. So far the browser has handled all my add-ons and it seems more stable than Firefox 28 on pages that have a lot of Flash content.

I also tried the Comodo Dragon browser, which is based on the open-source Chromium code that underlies Google Chrome. Dragon works perfectly well. FWIW the current Dragon version is 31.1.0.0, while the current Chrome version is 33.0.1750.154.

"Again... boycotting because of political reasons changes NOTHING"

Putting Mozilla out of business will. Corporate fascists need to be severely punished and their companies eliminated.

Yes, all but one of my add-ons worked/installed flawlessly ;^)
It is exactly same set-up (and add-ons) as FireFox.

It’s the name of that funky UI (relatively recent) that copies Chrome. Pale moon doesn’t have it

I don’t know if I can trust a for profit company for the software that I use 90% of the time unless we know who is in control.

FreeperFox and really take back the web...why not? However, I think we’ll need a more up to date FR before that can happen.

So how do I import my bookmarks toolbar links to IceDragon?

Start Firefox, enable the menu bar if it isn't enabled after right clicking on the top toolbar, select Bookmarks, then Show All Bookmarks, Import and Backup, Export Bookmarks to HTML, save the bookmarks.html file somewhere you can find it. Install IceDragon, and do pretty much the same except you Import Bookmarks from HTML using the file you just created. After that, if the bookmarks are all in a subfolder instead of being immediately visible when you click Bookmarks, you may need to select all the bookmarks and cut and paste them into the base Bookmarks folder.

During installation, Ice Dragon asks if you want to use Comodo's DNS servers instead of your ISP's. I chose not to use their servers for now, but after I investigate it further I might change my mind.

You can run IceDragon in a sandbox if you use Comodo's security suite. It sounds like a great idea but I have not yet tried it.

I think https://www.freerepublic.com would be an improvement, but John Robinson, who would have to do all the work, probably does not agree.
