The Newcastle beer has been found to contain caramel coloring. Class 3 and 4 caramel coloring is made from ammonia, which is classified as a carcinogen. “The one and only” beer with cancer causing qualities. I'd be very wary about making that assertion. It's like saying only one brand of cigarette will give you cancer.

They don’t tell the truth. Ammonium compounds are used to make the caramel coloring but are not present in the final product.
