San Miguel is the only common beer where I live. I buy a case every two days for our small expat beach gathering each afternoon. It is considered to be a good beer. I am pretty much a wino, but I do have a few beers per day.
I was in a helicopter unit in Vietnam. The arrival of a pallet load of San Miguel beer was met with rejoicing & hosannahs.
San Miguel had no peer. For us it was the best there was.
