'The debate over repealing this law is over': Obama boasts 7.1 MILLION have signed up to Obamacare..

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America's health care system 'a lot better' in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.

“Does anyone really believe this will be repealed?"

At the moment the only people supporting this scam are media and folks thinking it's all gonna be free.

Wait until all those women thinking their birth control pills and abortions are gonna be free learn what the term "deductible" means. Even a minimum policy with a $50 a month premium comes with a $3,500 deductible. Meaning that abortions will now be cash out of pocket and the patient will be on the hook for payment and debt collectors.

The piggies haven't started squealing yet.

Hey, so what if we counted as enrolled anyone who clicked on an Internet news story about Obamacare? Nitpickers.

And besides, we announced the number on April 1, so if they get exposed as bogus, we have an appropriate response prepared.

The only way the debate is over is if Obama has rigged the upcoming elections or if the stupid party let’s Ryan scare enough people.

Exactly. There were really only two opportunities to kill this monster. Chief Justice Roberts sold us out on the first chance. The second and final chance was to turn 0bama out of office.

I knew once both opportunities were lost, the game was over. The bill became entrenched in our society. It can no more be gotten rid of now than we could get rid of social security or medicaid.

Not gonna happen.

Wow this is huge, I tell you. /s According the the U.S. government that is 2.23% of the population. Not to rain on Obummer parade but what % of those people have actually paid their premium?

So we are paying how much for that supposed 2%? Where is the Wall Street protesters? They can have a new slogan, “We are the “98%.”

And those 800,000 who are ‘paying’ are paying a small portion of the premium with the rest being sent directly from the Treasury to the “free market” insurance companies.

This entire boondoggle was a private deal between the powers that be in government and the powers that be in Big Insurance

They can only tax so much until the bottom falls out, and they can’t put everyone in jail when it does. So when there is no money to pay for it, O’care will either be repealed or go broke eventually-it will be an unpleasant trip to get there though...

We are unlikely to remove all of it because we are cycles away from the potential for 60 votes. We must fight for it and then dismantle it piece by piece. 2012 was the last chance to truly undo it in one signature. We know for a fact many signed up had better plans before, so we communicate undoing the damage and lowering costs and improving plans. Many who signed up did it out of necessity.

We’re going to have to deal with the damage done for a long time to get to a better system. This program can’t be fixed. It must be undone a bit at a time and get the tentacles of the bureaucracy out if it. It’s a fight that must be worth having.

Deductibles don't apply to abortions, immunizations, and one free visit per year. Can't stop the abortionists you know, too many minorities would be born.

Go f*ck yourself, Mr. President.

Please, don't disgrace the office of the President by addressing Obamao this way.

The proper way to express this sentiment is, "Go f*ck yourself, a**hole."

No....All people have to do is stop paying or getting their own insurance policy. The idea that everyone has to buy what the government says which is way beyond the norm is ridiculous.

It'll strangle itself.

"Deductibles don't apply to abortions,"

How can that be, is it not a medical procedure?

People should get on Christian Healthsharing if their other choice is going on the exchange.

It can be revised to EXCLUDE all the contraceptive cr** at a minimum.

The problem is....why is the government sucking up any money at all in the form of a penalty.

Not all medical procedures were created equal. You also get "free" mammograms, colonoscopies, pap smears, and a few other things for the "women and children" to be protected from the evil right.

Yes. In every state in which the people have voted against sodomite unions they try to term as “marriage”, the left hasn’t considered the debate to be over until they’ve judge-shopped a friendly judge and overturned the will of the people.

`Texas sharpshooter’ fallacy:
Close eyes, squeeze off six limp-wristed revolver rounds into the side of a barn.
Have your hatchet-faced Secretary of Health and Human Services circle the three bullet-holes with chalk.
Call press conference and triumphantly declare:
“Seven bulls-eyes!”
