At out house near Golden, before we moved, I could hear Great Horned owls in the cottonwood trees before dawn. Been a couple years since I actually saw one there, but I could hear them hooting back and forth. Also was a nice young bull elk hanging out in the Fairmont cemetery on 44th Ave last summer.

However that Owl ,or Rabbit, had a mahoosive wingspan.
