Hishammuddin has expressed frustration at the failure of international agencies, and the makes of plane and its engines, Boeing and Rolls-Royce, to explain what went wrong.
In an interview with Chinese TV he said it was unfair for Malaysian Airlines to take all the criticism and it was time for international companies and agencies involved in the hunt to "stand out there".
Note to Mr Hishammuddin:
Boeing 777s are flown by nearly every nation in Asia and they don’t just fall out of the sky.
