What's wrong with us assuming the worst of them?

Because you are more often likely to be wrong than right.

Just curious: Are these guys cops in the city in which you live?

No, statistically I am more likely to be right. Just as you or I are more likely to be accidentally shot by a cop then by an average person.

Some are county sheriffs, some are Tampa Police, and one is a University cop.

Problem is that say out of 100 cops, there are 5-10 ‘bad’ones, you have no way of knowing which cop is bad. Kinda like Russian roulette. Which chamber holds the ‘live’ round. Until they clean up their act, one has to assume all are bad until proven otherwise. After all, they are all highly trained professionals, armed, under color of authority. A lot of cover for a ‘bad’one, dangerous because one has no idea which one is the ‘live round’......
