Every time I go to KFC, they piss me off.

The last time I went, the price wound up a couple of dollars higher than I expected. When I asked why, I was told that the drink was not included in the combo, even though the combo is shown on the menu with a drink. No place on the menu board was the fact that the drink was not included indicated.

I paid the bill and drove away, determined never to return. Of course, I wind up going back again, eventually. But every time I do, they pull a stupid trick like that again.

On the plus side, the line for the drive through is always very short...

The last time I went to KFC it was due to being starved on a day of errands. I hated it. The meal was lousy. Certainly not like it was 20 years ago when we’d get a bucket/dinner regularly for a convenient meal. They’d been going downhill for years, but that was the worst.

Popeye’s became my favorite (spicy) years ago, but it’s quite a drive (only when I’m on a trip). But the last time I got Popeye’s it wasn’t the same. They changed the oil or something. Tasted no different than Albertson’s fried chicken (which is great for a picnic) and the potatoes were waxy. Who knows. One more time is strike 3 (wasn’t the first time).

I miss Chick-Fil-A. They haven’t been here in years for some reason. Last time I had their food was in 1986; I’m betting they wouldn’t disappoint if I had it next week (way optimistic...will have to wait til I do some traveling & know where they have a restaurant).
