Understanding the difference certainly would be a massive undertaking for many posters on Free Republic, who invariably use "loose" when "lose" is called for.
What really grates on me is the misuse of ‘there’ when it should be ‘their’.
“I parked my car in there garage”
“I left my purse at there house”
I see this on facebook all the time. It’s simply mind- blowing.
I have seen ‘gots’ and ‘worser’ on FB as well.
