Greg Nicotero (producer and head make-up guy) kept asking Andrew Lincoln what he wanted the stuff to taste like when he bit the bad guy (beef or chicken). Andrew chose “chicken”. Then Nicotero asked him cooked or uncooked. He chose uncooked, and said that it was a big mistake!

That explains why he spit it out so quick. LOL

Of course, being the prankster I am, if Nicotero had asked me that question, I would have grinned at him, and said, "I want it to taste like human."
