I hope to God that’s all the quaking we are going to get tonight.
This second quake tossed a clock off my wall but I don’t see anything else yet. My dad called and said they had some damage, they’re maybe 6 miles from me. I worry about them because they are up in years.
I dont mind quakes if they happen while Im awake, if its in the middle of the night I totally freak out, its dark and it just reminds me SO much of Northridge, 4:31AM never forgot it it always comes back to you. The 3.7 I didnt feel at all because Im far enough away from you that I would not have felt it, in fact, I didnt feel the one that occurred a few min ago in Brea, but that 5.3 it wasn’t strong, felt more like my bed was swaying like in a boat and it just kept going and going and going

I see the quake was a 5.1. Listen, you aren’t whining, not to me at least. I don’t know that I could ever get used to those things. Just a few years ago we had a 5.8 quake here in central Virginia. We were about 100 miles west of the epicenter, but everything in the kitchen cabinets shook and rattled. That sound of the earth actually grinding together freaked me out. My sister-in-law and I thought Jesus was coming back, lol.
