The article has minimal details as to the basis for the findings. What was the health condition of the people chosen for the study? Was consideration given to the amount of exercise of the sample group? Were gender and racial factors considered? (Women live longer lives; blacks live shorter lives.) What about the type of meat: higher fat vs. lower fat, organic vs. conventional; beef vs. pork vs. chicken vs. fish? Why the criticism of cheese, as calories from cheese are mainly fat, and not protein, derived? If protein consumption is excessive, should you therefore eat fattier meats?

As the Wendy's ad slogan from the 1980s said, where's the beef?
