I heard the “producer” interveiwed on...the radio last night.
I did not care for the “tone” ....of any of the interview, is just didnt ring true...but I couldnt put my finger on it until he was asked who Jesus was to him.....and he answered....the son of God.
Any Christian I know would have replied My Lord and My Savior...

Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, who co-produced the Bible TV series and this movie, are Catholics. They don't talk in terms of being saved. Most evangelicals can tell you the very day or hour they accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. I went to a Catholic couples retreat once, and they put on a skit mocking people who said they were saved. The priest leading the retreat was in stitches.
Matthew 16:16 Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
If it was good enough for the first Pope...

Luckily for the the eunuch in Acts 8, Philip had a different standard for determining who is a Christian.
Acts 8:37 “.....and he replied, I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God”
but then this is the historical Christian FAITH.
