dumb a** student wearing ear buds music up so loud they can’t hear anything jaywalking and the cops tried to get her to stop and she just kept walking so...

I wear headphones every day when walking our dog. I have excellent hearing, even though I was exposed to weapon ranges, generators, diesel engine trucks for almost 40 years in the military, thanks to hearing protection. I can still hear an electric golf cart coming down the road from behind.

and you have awareness of where you are and what is going on around you at all times, most of the college students i have observed in the last 10 years have zero awareness , jaywalk ride bikes with ear buds in the ears and not aware of where they are or what is going on. and i live near a major SO Calif university
