A woman who reported being sexually assaulted along Florida's Turnpike by a man who offered to change a flat tire made the story up, deputies said.

The woman, identified as Alexandria Westover by deputies, was arrested Thursday after admitting to fabricating the story, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Teri Barbera said. Detectives spent more than 100 hours of manpower investigating after she said she was attacked in the midst of rush hour traffic Tuesday morning.

Attacked during rush hour. Was she late for work so she made up this story?

Recommend death penalty for discrediting all the other victims of sexual assault.

As usual she’ll be given a slap on the wrist, when her alleged attacker would have been sent to the slammer. Such accusations happen all too frequently without substantiation. Require accusers to submit to a lie detector test as a disincentive to lie as standard procedure.

“Such accusations happen all too frequently without substantiation.”

Yep. And I’ve heard/read too many reports of a guy being exonerated for a rape charge after losing a decade of his life behind bars. Any consequences for the girls? I never hear of any.

Next time I see a female flag me down on the road because she needs help, I won’t bother. All I’ll do is take note of the mile marker and call 911.

I have a friend who specializes on false allegation cases. Almost every one of the cases involve false allegations made by women that accused men of false charges of sexual assault which reulyed in the men being put behind bars or several. He tells me that in just about every case he has solved the women were trying to keep themselves out of trouble whether it involved a high school athlete that was no longer a minor that had sex ith. Girl two years his junior a married women that was caught cheating in the act and claimed she was being raped. Another gal claimed she was kidnapped by three Hispanic guys and held for several hundred thousand dollars ransom and yes the guys were in on it. They wanted to get over a million but the family couldn’t or would’t agree to those terms and she got significantly less. When the police started investigating she lied and said she didn’t know the guys and sent the to prison for some serious jail time. In fact i think they are still in there. Some people just need to be shot.

she should get the same sentence a sexual assault criminal would have received. we have to stop this crap, and stop coddling women who do this because it casts doubt on the women who really are assaulted.

It is highly politically incorrect to even consider the possibility that a sexual assault accusation is made up. Since women were often routinely disbelieved in the past, we must make up for it today by believing every accusation.

This is the same attitude that led to the appalling miscarriages of justice back in the 80s involving the daycare sex abuse cases. People picketed the courtrooms with signs saying, “Believe the children!” Belief became a statement of goodness for the believer rather than a considered judgment.

Some of those falsely accused and convicted in these cases have just recently gotten out of jail.

Any person who makes a false allegation should be sentenced to a term plus one year longer than the crime for which he or she made the false allegation for.

That will go a long way towards stopping this kind of crap.

I agree with your synopsis.

The consolidation of the media and their large megaphone has been very costly and dangerous to society, because they get to collude and pick and choose what their issue of hype (or witch hunt) for the day will be, but it will never be them.

Since they create the rules of PCness it gives them flexibility on what elements of society need to be marginalized, attacked in their perpetual quest to divide Americans. Ever notice that they never miss an opportunity to divide races, genders, religions? The more they divide us the more control they have to incite us. A UNITED United States to the elites is not what they want. It’s why they’ve Balkanized us.
