Oh no! The Super Bowl might have bad weather (In February, in New York, whoda thunk it?)

The NFL is considering moving the game to Monday or Tuesday in case of bad weather.

Well slather me in butter and call me a biscuit. Didn't they KNOW the possibility of bad winter weather would increase during WINTER?

Personally, they need to play the game in whatever Mother Nature throws at it. They wanted this up there, they got it. Now deal with it.

Your opinion may differ.

Football is played outside, in real weather. The worse the weather the better the game!

Well, they were willing to take a chance on the weather. It’s a roll of the dice.

If they get a warm spell, it could easily be 45 degrees, which would be nice football weather. On the other hand, it could be in the teens or colder that time of year.

Maybe this will be the first and last time they have an outdoor stadium in the north host a Super Bowl. We’ll see.

It’s football. You play football in bad weather. Nuff said!

The Broncos, the Seahawks, and the fans don’t deserve the problems caused by Roger Gooddell’s idiocy……methinks you are conflating some things here...

Why is nobody talking about Justin Bieber getting arrested? Instead we talk about the Super Bowl?

Maybe you assume the Super Bowl is about football. It is not. It is about money

As a child of the 50’s, I remember watching pro football on tv (before all the drainage systems and so on were put in) and sometimes, literally, you couldn’t tell who was on what team except for the helmet.

It was a lot of fun watching a running back flying down the field and get tackled on the 40, then watching him slide and come to a stop on the 5.

No, I get the point. They’re concerned that the rich d-bags who can get Super Bowl tickets will be uncomfortable if they can’t wear short sleeves to the game.

I just don’t care.

your class envy is ugly ugly ugly……but that also misses the point. Your posts are short, pithy, and don’t connect with each other.

So which is it, your faux macho idea that we “play football’ in any kind of weather, or your absurd jealousy over those who can afford tickets in short sleevs?

Or are you just ticked off at life?

I still think the chances of them moving the game to a different day are slim to none. There is just too much money at stake - advertisers pay millions of dollars for a 30-second spot during the Super Bowl, solely because of the astronomical ratings the game receives. Entire ad campaigns are built around Super Bowl ads. Move the game to a Monday or Tuesday (or a Friday or Saturday), and those astronomical ratings plummet. The advertisers (and, by extension, the network) would revolt (and sue).

That is fun to watch….for a meaningless regular season game. It’s not what we wnat for the Super Bowl.
