That would be about the size of it – I’m a bit of a newbie on this specific subject matter.

Theoretically, I’d like to be able to ‘reach out and touch someone’ as far away as possible, but I realize there are practical considerations to be made – budget being one.

I also need to consider the tactical situation I may be in – there may not be more than a 500 yard field of fire for example.

A Barrett .50 BMG would be sweet, but the budget (ahem) won’t support that.
