Naughty or Nice?
AFA's 2013 listing of top retailers and how they recognize Christmas
BLUE: An AFA "5-Star" rated company that promotes and celebrates Christmas on an exceptional basis. GREEN: Company uses the term "Christmas" on a regular basis, we consider that company Christmas-friendly. YELLOW: Company refers to Christmas infrequently, or in a single advertising medium, but not in others. RED: Company may use "Christmas" sparingly in a single or unique product description, but as a company, does not recognize it.
Don't they generally promote ANY holiday where they can sell more undies?
I'd wager that they even have a special "Santa's little helper" underwear.
Not that it makes it more "Christian", but they do love to make $$$.
There are a lot of companies in the “green” list that only use “Christmas” because they have had backlash, not because they are Christmas friendly. Take Lowes who had severe backlash a few years ago when they had “holiday” trees for sale. I would personally look into the corporate policies rather than how often they use the word Christmas to make money.
We continually update the list, so check back often.
Criteria - AFA reviewed up to four areas to determine if a company was "Christmas-friendly" in their advertising: print media (newspaper inserts), broadcast media (radio/television), website and/or personal visits to the store. If a company's ad has references to items associated with Christmas (trees, wreaths, lights, etc.), it was considered as an attempt to reach "Christmas" shoppers.
If a company has items associated with Christmas, but did not use the word "Christmas," then the company is considered as censoring "Christmas."
Want to report a company? Send your detailed report to christmas@afa.net. Please know that we receive hundreds of reports (emails) each day. We are unable to respond to each one personally, but your report will be read by one of our staff.
Note: AFA does not list local or regional companies. Only nationally-recognized companies will be listed. This list only reflects a company's "Christmas" advertising and does not take into account other corporate policies AFA may not agree with.
Over the past few years, Liberty Counsels Friend or Foe Christmas Campaign" has successfully put the grinches on the run. We have helped overturn a number of anti-Christmas decisions, including nativity scenes which were banned from public property, elderly residents who were banned from singing Christmas carols in their senior living centers, students who were banned from wearing red and green in their public schools, religious words that were censored from Christmas carols by school officials, Christmas trees that were renamed to holiday trees, and Christmas parades renamed to holiday parades by various towns.
In all of the above situations, Liberty Counsel successfully educated and reversed these anti-Christmas sentiments. We have been doing so since 2003, when we originally noticed a swell of anti-Christmas sentiment. (Read this sample list of just a fraction of the scores of the past Christmas-related issues in which Liberty Counsel has been involved.) In response to this unconstitutional censorship, we launched our annual Christmas campaign, pledging to be a Friend to those who recognize Christmas and a Foe to those who censor it.
As part of our "Friend or Foe Christmas Campaign," Liberty Counsel publishes a Naughty and Nice list, which catalogs retailers who either censor (naughty) or recognize (nice) Christmas. The list is compiled from information gathered by individual consumers and is updated whenever new information is received. Liberty Counsel wants to give the gift of Christmas back to those who support it. If retailers choose to profit from Christmas while pretending it does not exist, then we will patronize their competitors.

Good stuff to know
Thank you for posting this, I see that we have already spent a bit of money at the “Nice” stores and not a dime at the “Naughty.
Walmart shouldn’t be on the good list because they went “Hal al” raghead nonsense.
I boycott the malls between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Might as well shop online if malls are going to have a blackout on even the word Christmas.
