AHHHH the 55 Chevy....everyone took off the front bumper and jacked up the back end with shackles ( that usually ruined the leaf springs after awhile) just to make it cool.... thanks ETL, may your days be long....

It has the lines of my 56 Model 3600, but a whole, whole, whole lot prettier than my Rust Bucket

The ‘55 and ‘56 trucks were identical except for the trim on the front fenders and hood. A 1955 had trim below the body line of the fender, and a 1956 had two-piece trim above that line. Also, the trim at the front of the hood in 1955 had “wings” on the top of the emblem that were longer and thinner than the bottom. The 1956 basically reversed the idea with the longer/thinner part of the trim now on the bottom of the emblem (not an exact reversal, the 1955 trim was still thicker in the wing area). Neither the fender, nor hood trim is visible here, so it’s impossible to tell the difference on this particular truck.
