I saw a similar case described on the Discovery Channel, where a woman in the middle east had abdominal pain that was caused by a mummified fetus. She described being pregnant decades before and having terrible pain, but she never gave birth. As she described it, the baby’s movements slowed down until it “went to sleep.”

I read about another woman in her 70s, who was offered surgery to remove fetal remains—she turned it down. I can’t imagine wanting to keep the dead baby...
