"Within the last few minutes, local news is reporting that Aircraft Machinists Union 751 has offered a new proposal to Boeing, one would guess to try to convince Boeing not to move the manufacture of the 777-X out of state."

If I were on the Boeing Negotiating Team I would issue a press release stating the Company has decided to rename the 777-X to the 777-Twinkie.

Late word reported on KOMO is that Boeing has REJECTED the Union proposal.

Boeing is also announcing today that it is MOVING a large portion of their research division to South Carolina.

Results?
twelve hundred jobs lost in Washington state.

There are many, many, many jobs and businesses in the area that serve as parts suppliers and perform various services in support of Boeing manufacture. Many of those are going to evaporate.

This is gonna get ugly.
