Hehe.. ya, I was fine with baseball, track, football, track (and cross-country in the off season to keep me in shape, but puking after every meet... I was a sprinter.. distance killed me >.<)... Soccer was sos hated where I was from, I can’t think of a single location in my state that the school played it..

I DID see a few schools start playing it in the early ‘90s though, and told myself... “uh-oh”, the end has begun...

My town in NJ had 3 players on the ‘94 World Cup team (when the US hosted); it was a rite of passage in a town that was mostly Irish/Scottish and is increasingly South/Central American. I think it is a regional thing.
