It's the mark of maturity to see through adolescence.
As you can see from this thread, speech is a strong socializing factor. People will do anything to identify with a social group for acceptance. You can't really blame them? But to despise them for it? Not if you respect the human person for the potential life they can offer.

Well now, if “uptalking” is mainly just a way to socialize with a group and thereby get girls, I can sympathize with the young men — being as how I once was young and wanted to get girls!
