How come psychics don’t win the lottery?

That's easy: they selflessly serve the humanity!

I am able to predict when the hands on my watch will hit 12 twice a day. 100% of the time too. No big deal, really.

James Randi would have paid her $1M if she could prove her 'psychic' abilities under controlled, laboratory conditions. She never even tried; never accepted the challenge.

They're all phony but very skilled at separating gullible fools from their money.

She used to be on TV a lot. Maybe I saw her on Larry King.

That’s what Gypsy fortune tellers will do. They’ve got it with their mother’s milk.

Years ago I was trying to find a gypsy fortune teller but she kept moving around all over the place but kept the same phone number so I called it one day and asked her if she could read my palm for me. She gave me her address and I went right over and picked her up on a warrant. Funny how easy it was to BS her when she thought she had a payday coming. She never saw it coming...lol

What if I told you that I knew she was going to die.. Really!

Something you know stuff that you just don’t want to talk about, for a variety of reasons, least of which is their pending death, and the stress it might cause..

I’ll go on a limb right now, I know that someone else we know, extremely well, will meet their maker sooner rather than later.. There!

She was a big fake.

The funniest thing was when, 30 years ago or so, she was a panelist on a local Bay Area “What’s My Line” type show. They’d have local people on (one I remember was Jon Provost, the actor who played Timmy on “Lassie” - then all grown up) and the panelists would ask questions to try to guess the contestant’s claim to fame. SB was the absolute worst - I don’t think she ever got anything right.

I knew a woman that was a big fan of hers. Even went to go see her “live” a few years ago.

I told her it was all BS and she got mad.

This is the same woman that said if Oprah ran for POTUS, that she would win.

Libs are such idiots.

There are "psychics" such as Browne who knowingly fleece the public; they would never take the Randi challenge, knowing in advance that they would fail. Then there are the "psychics" who do take the test because they honestly believe they have magic powers. And of course, they fail every time they're tested under laboratory conditions that preclude cheating.

I don’t know if so called psychic ability is something that can be tested in a laboratory.

I don’t even really believe in extra sensory perception , but there does seem to be some communication that cannot be explained. For instance, my daughter woke me up early one morning before scoop, all upset, saying that her sister had had a car accident and was afraid to tell us. About 7AM, the phone rang and I made my one daughter answer and ask her sister if she had had an accident . The older daughter said, yes, how did you know?

There was a mad rapist that was locked up at a mental institution for the criminally insane. One night, he escaped and went on a raping spree. The headline the next day read, "Nut Bolts and Screws"

Yes, Randi and Uri Geller have been squabbling for years.
I have to admit I shed no tears over Sylvia Browne. She has the distinction of being one of the few people I know banned from Coast to Coast that has stayed banned. Usually Noory accepts their lame excuses a d goes back to business as usual. If I’m not mistaken, this was because of Shawn Hornbeck. You see, before Amanda Barry, there was a missing boy named Shawn Hornbeck, and Browne did pretty much the same thing. On e someone is missing so long the odds are that they are dead, so I think it’s pretty clear she was just going with the odds and guessing.
I think the reason that people( and I think it’s mostly women) go to psychics is that it’s less painful and usually cheaper( unless you end up with one of the big time con artists who steal people’s life savings by telling them its “cursed” or something) than going to a shrink. But you get to talk about yourself and your problems without feeling like you’re imposing like you would with a friend. The typical client is a woman, I think, with husband or boyfriend trouble, or one with nonspecific unhappiness or dissatisfaction in life. There may be issues with work, money, children or health. But remember, the shrink industry leaves a lot to be desired plus costs a fortune, so where are people supposed to go? I don’t think it has that much to do with politics. Oprah has certainly promoted a lot of highly questionable people over the years, but I don’t know if Sylvia Browne is one of them.

Some people are intuitive. Without their conscious knowledge, they pick up cues from the environment--for instance, someone who always calls home before they leave work doesn't call that day--and their brains puzzle over these clues and produce a likely answer. More often than not, the answer is correct.

Being an intuitive person myself, I always know that when an answer pops into my head, there is logical and evidentiary support for the answer. Unfortunately, trying to figure out why I know a particular answer is challenging, because my subconscious won't provide details on demand. Once I took a class where we were given a complicated puzzle to solve as a group. When all the clues were collected, I solved the puzzle in a few minutes (the teachers were expecting us to take a couple hours). When asked how, I was speechless; I didn't know.
