Didn't see any coverage of this over the weekend on the sports networks, but what an accomplishment for Wesley College! Any school that can win TWO FULL divisions above themselves has really done something!

Is this Charlotte’s first season at that level?

I didn’t know that it was legal for a Division III team to play a Division I AA team.

In any case, this season, my team, the Division III Occidental College Tigers, has beaten all of our conference opponents, including arch-rival Pomona, but has not done so well with non-conference opponents.

I think there’s an exception because this is the inaugural season for Charlotte. They will eventually join Conference USA but this year is a hodge-podge of opponents in order to allow Charlotte to get its program started.

While I don’t want to take anything away from Wesley, it’s hardly that stellar of an achievement.

This is Charlotte’s first football season. Beating the team isn’t really the same as beating a D1 team with a well-established team.
