Didn't see another thread (yup...did a search). Looks like a good game developing.
haha..I recall when the Steelers won a superbowl and Rooney took the opportunity to publicly blow obama so he could get his Ireland gig on...Had to kiss O’s ring..
LOL!
Rooney’s an embarrassment. His father should rise from the grave and slap him.
55 - 31 Pats
I don't mind saying either, I'm actually glad the steelers are losing all over the place; they aren't giving the brain dead populace of the surrounding region any rest from the rest of the misery that is Pittsburgh and now O-care. People around here shut down for a few months and could care less what is going on around them once a pig skin is being thrown around and there is bambi to shoot at; checked. out.
Steelers quit...Forgot to tell the Pats.
I can’t make an Owen joke since the Steelers are 2-6 for the season so far.
riots in Oakland tonight
The Boston Redskins played a good game today against the San Diego Bolts....but the New England Patriots did what most teams have done to the Pittsburgh Stools this year....kicked their collective @sses, 55-31. So yeah it was a good game.
Gotta wonder how the Steelers went from still-pretty-decent defense last year to bloody awful defense this year, when the coordinator and most of the players are the same. Starting to look like the old Johnstown Dam defense from the sixties and early seventies (before all of the Super Bowls).
Hey, I like Curling! :-D
As for the game, I don’t like the Pats, or the Steelers. However, I do come from the old “Tom Landry” school of football. When your team has a huge lead, take a knee and go home. The Pats are the only team in the NFL that won’t do that.
Someday I hope a team takes exception to it, and goes straight after Bradys knees. It would make my year.... :)
As much as I hate Brady, I don’t want to see anyones career ended.
What would be sweet is if a underdog team piled on the points and shamed the Pats.
They haven’t been doing that the last few years because they have had an unreliable defense. In this one, the argument of piling on is double silly, since It was tied in the second half, and Pittsburgh had already shown they were able to put points on the board against them, having come back to tie it in the third.
Pittsburgh lost a couple of prominent defenders, and have been getting old. They have been nowhere near as bad as expected this season...as going in it looked like a defensive rebuilding year.
So, a 17 point lead with 2:41 left wasn’t sufficient? Uh...yeah, ok.
“So, a 17 point lead with 2:41 left wasnt sufficient? Uh...yeah, ok.”
Apparently you are unfamiliar with the game of football in general, and Patriots defenses as of late in particular. ....and 2:41 is the last score.
Also, it’s not like this was a 24-7 game. The opponent had already scored 31 points, including closing the score to 10 with just over 6 minutes left. . Last year a team scored 21 points in 53 seconds, beginning inside its own 20 for the first play.
