Speaking of cornbread, have you ever had spoonbread? I remembered it from my youth, so decided to try it last winter. Kind of cobbled two recipes together and got an amazing spoonbread. It was very like a souffle, and very delicate in flavor. I do wish I had written down what I did as I made it, LOL, but I always “cook” like that.
It’s even better the next day.
No I haven’t had spoon bread. I too experiment in the kithcen. A handful of this a pinch of that. Use up what’s in the refrigerator. Usually don’t even think about writing anything down.
Sometimes Hubby says that was one of the best ever-hope you wrote it down.LOL
