A family friend was still getting production from his Early Girl variety until just last night.

My Early Girl wilted badly in the Tx heat of August but since about mid-Sept its made somewhat of a comeback. I cut back many dead branches and leaves, gave it lots of water, compost and now I got a few green 'maters on the vines and some more tiny ones in the buds. Maybe it goes along for another 2-3 weeks before old frosty shows up. Its all a bonus at this point.

Thanks for the hint. We don’t get Texas style heat here, at least not in combination with Texas style dryness, but I sure know what variety I’m growing next year.
