My winter wheat. I sowed it by hand, so it's patchy. Very patchy... lol... but that's ok. It's organic material to be turned under for the tobacco that will go there next spring.

What kind of winter wheat is that?
Is your soil sandy?
Looks good. My keyhole garden was invaded with the tranplants from ???, fiery little buggers. They have been sprayed with citrus then citrus shavings on top of that. Also put some around the base of the garden. I have 2 huge
tires. Someone put “trash” in them, dried weeds, some broken branches and their twigs. I put some dried oak leaves on top of that, then some compost, tomorrow I’m going to smash the whole thing down, add some torn newspaper, some soil, more compost, soil mixed with Miracle grow vegetable and flower stuff, smooth it out and plant some carrot and turnip seeds. In the center of the keyhole, I’m going to put
newspaper and fresh compost. I’m thinking of putting in a
few red wigglers, but I need to know I’ve rid the garden of
fire ants first. I dislike those little buggers even more than this administration and it’s leader.
