A popular radio host recently said, 'No time left for the Liberty Amendments ... It's too late for that.'.
I am certainly glad that R&D and logistics were not treated that way during WWII: "No time to develop the atom bomb. No time to build that aircraft carrier."
While I respect the viewpoint [you don't want to misplace resources or energy at decisive moments], the Liberty Amendments concept is 'low maintenance'. Just a little investment in time INCREASES the energy of others [who would have none otherwise].
Was it hard for Cato to remind Romans at the end of every speech that Carthage must be destroyed? I'm not suggesting regimented exhortations. But these are turbulent times. God alone knows what the future might hold. So R&D must not be trampled due to panic of the moment, especially since the concept of a Liberty Convention forms a new volunteer 'think tank' where the atom of freedom might be split.
Mark Levin should NOT be discouraged for his vision. After all, it might work.
Who is this “popular radio host”?
Mark Levin tells it like it is; a real constitutionalist!
Levin has more hope than I do.
Short of bloodshed I don’t think we’re going to fix this. I pray I am wrong.
Are you saying Levin believes it’s too late? I haven’t had a chance to listen to him lately. If this is so, this is very discouraging.
We are now 10-12 years into that prophesied "1000-years" of darkest tyranny. In their wildest fantasies, Stalin, Hitler, & Mao never thought they could aggregate as much power and control over 100% of the serfs as is now in the hands of dear leader. Can't really blame him for taking advantage of the easy pickings of the remaining low-hanging fruit on the now-rotting tree of liberty.
The ballot box is no longer feasible as the methodology to restore the slightest measure of Constitutionally-guaranteed freedom & liberty. The only alternative is the ammo box.
