A warning about Etsy: manufacturers scan the site for ideas and then copy them using mass production. They then list on Etsy pretending to be a hand crafter. They can and do sell for less, ship quicker and will overwhelm the real hand crafter. Etsy only cares about their commission.
As a senior with property who is still working, I need occasional casual labor. I cannot find it. I live in an area w/low unemployment and anyone with transportation and skills can either find a job or get benefits. We are managing by ourselves, but cannot wait to sell out and downsize to a property needing less work.
A friend has had a vintage T-Bird for sale all summer. eBay and Craigslist were a bust. I think she was asking $5k, newly painted and detailed and in good repair with new tires.
Ha! I live in an area with high unemployment and I STILL have a hard time finding an occasional laborer for things I can't do myself. I was an urbanite most of my life and will never get used to certain aspects of the boonies. I have a very big, very old house and some things I simply can't do alone, but 9 out of 10 contractors in the yellow pages don't even answer their phones, and those who do are looking for bigger jobs than I've got here. Replace a gutter, fix the porch steps, cut and remove a dead tree, etc. They usually won't do it and if they do they do a bad job. They usually don't finish it either. You can't even find teens to shovel snow and mow lawn. They all know they can make easier income by signing up at county assistance.

What vintage is the T-bird? Can you freepmail me a link? 5k for an old 'bird sounds interesting. I once had a number of antique cars, sold them all and only miss one of them. All they did was attract predators. Although where I live now, old cars are almost as common as old boys. :)
