Will the national energy boom come to California? Natural gas unlocked from shale formations fracking has boosted economies across America. In just the past decade, North Dakota supplanted California as the countrys third-largest producer of oil and gas. Texas and Alaska remain the top two producers.
That could change. Last month, the Democratic state legislators pushed through Senate Bill 4 after it had been amended 10 times. Gov. Jerry Brown signed it into law. Although the bill contains some environmentalist provisions, generally it should promote fracking, which would lead to California jobs creation and higher tax revenues ..
.The main reason that Democratic legislators unanimously voted for SB4 was the overwhelming support for the bill by city and county officials, the Los Angeles County Democratic Party Central Committee, and even U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein. Reports that the oil and gas industry had undermined the bills original intent did not stop Democrats from voting for it. -

My husband is a geochemist. He was at a CA conference back a bit, and they were talking about how PRO-fracturing Jerry Brown was. He promised to veto ANY bill that thwarted it, thinks frakking is a great thing for the economy. Which it is. He was stunned to find himself on the same side of anything as Jerry Brown. Considering this is California, the geologists are pleased with SB 4. There are lots of constraints, but considering what it could be, it’s pretty good.
Next up, a group of Democrats extorting money or stealing the huge windfall of revenue. That's always #2.
Now we know what the Donkeys are all about: power for them. It doesn’t matter what BS they spout to their voters. Once they get veto-proof majorities they can say ‘screw you’ to the environmentalists and other groups that stand in their way.
To be fair, the GOP isn’t much better in the way their leaders treat their base. (See the stealth amnesty scam they’re trying to pull.)
Does this mean that all those people from California who came to Texas will be moving back? You know we’ve got to make room for all the illegals that are coming across the border when Ted Poe gets his amnesty bill passed.
They will remedy it soon, once they get to work on the bullet train to nowhere.
