True story — a friend of mine worked (briefly) at a paint and home improvement supplies store. He was fired after a middle aged black lady came up to him while he was stocking a paint shelf and asked him “where can I find white caulk?” My friend started chuckling and said “I know where you can get some white caulk...”
It was years before Beavis and Butthead, but I am pretty sure his laughing and response would have fit right in with that show.
