If there is too much blood in my caffeine stream, ... I’ll leave it at that.

What a shoddy “study”! Nice little throw in there of coffee drinkers are more likely to smoke... So why didn’t they sub-group smokers?
Junk.

Study? It sounds more like data mining to find some association as a reason to publish and look for a grant to proceed.

"It is disgusting to notice the increase in the quantity of coffee used by my subjects, and the amount of money that goes out of the country as a consequence. Everybody is using coffee; this must be prevented. His Majesty was brought up on beer, and so were both his ancestors and officers. Many battles have been fought and won by soldiers nourished on beer, and the King does not believe that coffee-drinking soldiers can be relied upon to endure hardships in case of another war." - Frederick II of Prussia.
"It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion."

One of my wife’s and mine favorite parts of the country. We will be traveling through much of Utah in a few weeks. Never get tired of the scenery.
To: Olog-hai
Yet, previous reports said coffee drinkers lived longer. *yawn*

Little do they know, not all coffee can be adequately described as mere cups...
For some has been known to kill far more quickly, while other reanimate the dead...

“Researcher Steven Blair, of the University of South Carolina, said: Significantly the results did not demonstrate any association between coffee consumption and all-cause mortality in older men and women.
But the researchers did not explain why coffee did not affect older people in the same way.”
I think it is simple. Drinking 4 LATTES or more a day at a Starbucks is bad for you. Drinking coffee is good for you. Older folks drink COFFEE. Younger drink designer coffee fad drinks.

Bunk. My mother-in-law drank huge amounts of coffee. In Summer it was iced coffee. She would make a big pot, cover it and put it in the refrigerator, pour cups and place it in the microwave all day long.
She had her last cup of coffee a few days before she died at 92.

I wish you would not show those paintings, they make me so homesick for the 4 corners region! I was through there (Moab) a few weeks ago. I cried when I had to leave.

Yeah sure but what about second-hand coffee? (you know, people who are in the same room when you drink 4 cups) We definitely need a few million-dollar studies to find new ways to control us!
